Vanuatu reiterates need to scale up climate action

Vanuatu has been voted to Chair the third Pacific Adaptation to Climate Change and Resilience Building (PACRES) Project Steering Committee, and the man occupying the seat, Mike Sam Waiwai, the Director of the Department of Climate Change, has reiterated the urgent need to scale up action to address the impact of climate change.

The Department of Climate Change’s Senior Adaptation and Disaster Risk Management Officer, Mrs Pauliane Basil, participated in a two-night series on the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Negotiations Skills and Technical Language Training organised jointly by the Women’s Environment and Development Organizations (WEDO) and UNFCCC Secretariat on behalf the Women Delegates Fund (WDF).
